Our Projects

AITRC conducts research and monitoring projects throughout Ahtna Territory to better understand and protect the fish, wildlife, lands, and waters that sustain our communities. Our projects combine Tribal knowledge, community priorities, and scientific research to address local resource concerns and strengthen Tribal involvement in natural resource management.

From monitoring salmon populations and fish health to studying wildlife, water temperatures, and subsistence resources, this work builds the long-term information needed to support healthy ecosystems, sustainable harvests, and future generations.
